THE BRICKYARD

About Services Endorsements Contact

We have broken down our services into 3 phases:

PLANNING

Before starting a yard, sufficient planning is needed to cost out how much money is actually necessary to begin a yard. Costing is also part of planning - to see how much each block will cost you to manufacture at the end of the day. All calculations will be based on prices obtained for materials available locally. The correct machinery will be selected for usage in making bricks & blocks to requirements of their intended use. Finally, a projection (12-month & 5-year) will be created for an overview on profitability.

Government tenders require special business plans for obtaining the loans from trust funds & contacts in these entities will assist in the obtaining of up to R500 000 for the use in starting the yard.

IMPLEMENTATION

Once all the planning is approved, we will place the orders for machinery. Once the machinery is ready, we will organise the transport (incorporated in the planning phase) & workers will be informed on the operations of the machinery. This machinery will also be evaluated to ensure yard is running optimally by the time implementation is complete.

MAINTENANCE

To ensure efficiency is maintained at all times, regular audits will be done to check how the yard is operating. Tests on random samples of output bricks & blocks will be conducted to see if they conform to the modular breaking test requirements (a new system that will be replacing pressure tests for SABS standards as the new standard) as well as appearance. Reports & recommendations will be made on the subject.
